About Us

The members of the Bryllup String Quartet first crossed paths while playing in the St. Olaf College Orchestra - one of the premier college symphony orchestras in the United States and a 2x winner of the American Prize (2013, 2019).

 

After graduating from St. Olaf College in 2023, violinists Brock Lawhead & Maria Landherr, violist Max Clifford, and cellist Amelia Podolny found themselves without a musical outlet. The four musicians began to meet up on weekends to play music together, and the Bryllup String Quartet was born!

 

​Since its inception in 2023, the Bryllup String Quartet has played for dozens of weddings throughout the state of Minnesota. Our musical range is vast, including classical music, 1950s love songs, and modern pop tunes. We are excited to work with you and curate the perfect musical vibe for your wedding day!
